| Thank you Royce for your continued support of Mounted Shooting! Royce Andersons' generosity and hospitality is legendary, and this year was no exception. The arena improvements were appreciated, and the dinner Saturday night including entertainment by Champion Gun Spinner Joey Dillon and our friend Kowboy Kal was enjoyed by all. In a stunning show of horsemanship and shooting Royce won 5 of the 6 stages, which made him the winner in his division, Overall Cowboy and Overall Champion. But in true style at the awards ceremony Royce announced that while he would take the CMSA points for the win, he was not going to keep the awards for himself, but present them to the next place winners - way to go Royce! The awards ceremony included a drawing for the custom tooled Championship Saddle generously donated by Bill Kavanaugh. The winner was an overjoyed Raymond Crandell, who was heard to quip he has plenty of horses it will fit. Congratulations Raymond! Next was two draws for Sawtooth Saddlery headstalls won by Todd SeCoy and Geoff Goldstein. | |
