Many thanks to those who helped us celebrate the Day of the Horse. The event was well recieved and will become an annual event.
The KHAY California Cowboy Christmas was held at the Boot Barn in Ventura on December 14, 2002.   Charlye Parker was hostess and guests of honor were our own Gentleman Joe Whiteley and Bev Brown and Charlye's ride for the year Sundance for all to pat and feed.

Our Next Practice and New Rider Orientation has been scheduled for Sunday January 12th at the Conejo Creek Equestrian Center.

Our schedule for 2003 is being finalized - the California Desperado events schedule so far is:
  • Feb 15-16 Border Wars
  • March 22-23 Big Sky Shootout 
  • May 17-18 Southern Pacific Regionals
  • July 12-13 Summer Range Grand America
  • August 9-10 Pismo Beach Bash!

    • Sept 6-7 California State Championships

The final qualifying event was the CMSA California State Championships held in Simi Valley.
Our practice session on Sunday 04/07 was a big hit, with many new participants taking advantage of our new rider orientation. This brought to light some new issues to improve on.
