To All California Desperados,

Once again a new year has arrived. Last year was a tough one
for all clubs and riders, those fuel prices and the economy
put a big crunch on our sport. We are doing all we can to
hold down costs and traveling expenses so we have scheduled
most of our events at our home arena at Vincent Hill. This is
the most economical place to hold practices and matches and
not have to worry about neighbors and high arena costs. We
are always open to suggestions or new venues so if you know
of such a place please lets us know.

I have taken a lot of time planning this schedule and we will
not change dates unless something out of our control takes
place making it mandatory. We may possibly change locations
if a good venue arises but we will hold the dates.

Looking forward to a Fun Year!!!!

Jan 18th  Free Practice Day & Membership Drive-Vincent Hill
We are starting the year off with a free practice day with your membership renewal. Run as many stages as you wish,
blanks will be available for purchase.

Jan 29-Feb 1 Equine Affaire- Pomona
We will have a booth at the Equine Affaire in Bldg 6 space 610. If anyone would like to come out help run the booth please

Feb 21st Season Kick-Off  Intro, Workshop & Practice-Vincent Hill
Start the season of mounted shooting, geared for riders wishing to get into the sport of mounted shooting,
We will explain it all and help get you started with an introduction, workshop and practice at Vincent Hill. 

Feb 22nd Frozen February WPQ Double Points Match-Vincent HillMarch 14  Workshop & Practice 

March 15  March WPQ Double Points Match-Vincent Hill  

April 24 Workshop & Practice 

April 25 Spring Ahead April WPQ Double Points Match –Vincent Hill  

May 23 Workshop & Practice

May 24 May Madness WPQ Double Points Match-Vincent Hill

June 20-21 Summer Range Grand American Double Points Match-Vincent Hill

July 4-5-6- Southern Pacific Regional-Quad Points-Gilroy
Regional Match & Fourth of July Celebration with an Old Fashion cookout- hot dogs with corn on the cob, watermelon, popcorn
with swimming and Fireworks. This event will be held at the Bloomquist Ranch in conjunction with the Fresno Stage Robbers
including the Dewey Demented Team Shootout and fast draw competitions.

Aug 21-22-23 Pismo Beach California State Championships Triple points
Enjoy the summer at the beach with the State Championships in Arroyo Grande. This is a vacation destination with Mounted Shooting,
Beach rides, Sand Dunes, and the Saturday Night Luau Dinner Party. 

Sept 19-20 -Shoot for a Cure Double Points- Gibson Ranch
We return to the Gibson Ranch in Sun Valley with a Mounted Shooting Competition and Fundraiser for Cancer Research.
Barry Nadell will be your Match Director for the weekend. Last year we raised over $2000 for this worthy cause.

Oct 3-4 Last Chance Points WPQ Double Points- Vincent Hill
For those heading to the World or wanting those extra points for State, Regional or Club points, this is your last chance.
